Apartment in a new residential building in Khamovniki
What mattered to the client
A couple with two children.
The husband, a lawyer from a family with noble ancestry, often visits relatives in the United States. He therefore had a clear idea of the home he wanted from the outset.
Furniture with clean lines, minimal ornament, natural finishes and tall classical skirting boards and cornices: the defining features of American classical style.
Bespoke joinery features throughout the apartment. The layout carefully zones the kitchen and living room, as well as the private rooms.
The warm, ochre tones of American walnut joinery contrast with cool grey walls framed by white cornices and skirting boards. The combination gives the interior both a measured formality and a welcoming warmth.
