What mattered to the client
Project highlights
A family comprising a couple, their student son and a black cat. The interior was designed for people with an active lifestyle, an eye for detail and a desire for a home they would want to spend time in: calm, private, expressive and practical for everyday life.
The clients wanted a contemporary interior in a dark, rich palette without a heavy atmosphere. We balanced intimacy with visual lightness by avoiding a fully dark ceiling, emphasising soft reflected light and removing visible sources of direct lighting.

Another aim was to create a sense of luxury through materials rather than excessive decoration: stone, onyx, walnut veneer, marble textures, brass details and contrasts between matt and glossy surfaces.
Precise use of light and texture defines the interior. In the entrance hall, a practical wardrobe becomes almost an art object: onyx inserts and delicate illumination create a floating architectural effect and establish the tone of the project.

The kitchen and living room are unified by large-format porcelain tiles with a marble texture, bringing visual coherence to the space. The TV area contrasts black matt MDF, expressive porcelain and mirrors with a golden backing, adding depth, graphic clarity and the feeling of a private lounge.

The main bedroom is softer, combining grey tones with warm wood. Sculptural 3D walnut-veneer panels form the headboard wall. Opposite the bed, a built-out wall incorporates a bioethanol fireplace in a recess, making the room an intimate place to relax as well as sleep.

The main bathroom is among the project’s most expressive spaces. Dark porcelain with white veins, elongated mosaic tiles, concealed lighting, a marble basin and a brass tap create a restrained yet tangible sense of luxury.
The finished interior
Calm, composed, tactile and mature, the interior contains no arbitrary gestures. Its effect comes from precision in lighting, materials, proportions and pauses rather than an abundance of details.

The dark palette creates privacy rather than weight. Stone, wood, onyx, brass and soft reflected light establish an atmosphere of contemporary urban luxury: quiet and assured rather than ostentatious. Everything supports comfort, visual depth and a sense of personal space.
