What mattered to the client
Project highlights
A modern family who enjoy an active lifestyle and travelling.
The client wanted a warm, minimalist interior that would also be an investment for the future, allowing the apartment to be sold at a good price if needed.
The successful layout allowed us to retain the greatest possible ceiling height in the bedroom and living room. A bar island neatly separates the kitchen and living room into two functional areas: cooking and dining, and spending time together. Decorative plaster flows from the living-room walls onto the ceiling in the same finish, creating an enveloping sense of depth, refinement and comfort. A colourful wall in the children’s room takes its inspiration from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince. In the main bedroom, a sculptural wooden partition divides the sleeping area from the dressing room. Its openwork construction acts like a screen without creating a heavy, solid barrier.
The finished interior
An almost monochrome interior with nothing superfluous, where contrasts come from the different textures.
